Lol Tolhurst is a musician, writer and performer.
He is best known as a founding member of the band that virtually invented alternative music, The Cure. Formed in 1976, The Cure is one of the most influential, successful and critically acclaimed bands of its generation.
As The Cure’s drummer, Lol toured the globe many times over, supporting the ground-breaking albums Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography. He took on keyboard duties in the mid-eighties until his departure from the band in 1989, at the time of their masterwork Disintegration.
In the early nineties, Lol relocated to Southern California where he continues to write, record and tour with his own band, Levinhurst. More recently, 2011 saw a momentous reunion tour with his former bandmates and Lol performing with The Cure again for the first time in over twenty years.
Lol’s first book was published in 2016. Cured - The Tale Of Two Imaginary Boys is a memoir that draws together the threads of his life and art... so far!

Spellbound is pleased to present a fantastic night of live music with the Swedish synthpop band KITE, along with the kickass Abbey Death!
$12 / 21+
If you haven't heard of Kite, do yourself a favor and check them out. http://www.last.fm/music/ Kite
Kite began when Christian Berg (Yvonne, Strip Music) asked Nicklas Stenemo (The Mo, Melody Club) to sing on one of his instrumental songs. A day later, the demo version of ”My girl and I” was complete. They started to create songs on a daily basis in Nicklas’ studio where Christian’s love for monotone synth melted together with Nicklas’ pop hits, and the band Kite was born.
Their debut EP Kite was reviewed favourably by Side-Line magazine, comparing it to classic 1980s synthpop acts like Erasure or Yazoo. The EP Kite III had a darker tone. The release Kite IV has been seen as a mix of classic 1980s synthpop like OMD and modern, experimental sounds. The EP Kite VI was released in 2015 and has been compared to the sound of Kraftwerk and Vangelis.
Valerie Abbey (Gentile) & Abbey Nex are taking the goth/industrial world on by themselves in their new project Abbey Death.
Valerie Gentile & Abbey Nex are best known for ravage energetic performances in such bands as Combichrist, The Crushadows, Psyclon Nine, Angelspit, Genitorturers and Black Tape for a Blue Girl.
Combining their musical flavors together to breathe fresh music back into the scene, their debut EP Realignment shows of their efforts in a dark revival in their music and themselves as artists.
DJ SHADE will be mixing a great night of music before betewwn and after the bands. Featuring a past & current selection of the very best Goth, Dark Wave, EBM, Synthpop, and Industrial Music for your enjoyment.
Our bar offers great specials in addition to the cheapest cocktails and biggest draft beers in the entire 18th Street area. Bring your friends, drink on the cheap...and dance the night away.
